Konkan is a coastal region in the western ghats of India. The lush green rolling hills and the red soil grows the juciest fruits with rich flavors.
CONCEPT
My grandmother has left behind special recipes from Konkan, mostly fruits and few regional vegetables. This is a book dedicated to her who lived a very sustainable life and loved to feed everyone with her home cooked delicious food.
I took this opportunity to illustrate for this book. The style of illustration is simple forms and flat colors. It’s inspired from the enivronment and the organic lifestyle in Konka.
